Surface Preparation
• New concrete floor should normally have been placed for at least 28 days.
• The surface be coated should be dry, clean, and free from loose materials, other contaminations as well as free from oils and fats.
• Roughen the surface with diamond grinding, clean off the dust.
• Ensure substrate moisture content less than 4% part by weight.
Mixing
• Hyfloor Epoxy Primer is supplied in pre-weighed packs ready to use on site. DO NOT add solvents or thinners.
• Add the entire contents of the hardener can to the base can. When thoroughly mixed thoroughly using a slow speed drill.
Application
• Hyfloor Epoxy Primer should be applied to the prepared surface using brush or roller.
• Apply at the rate of 0.10 – 0.15 kg/m2.
• The primer should be left to achieve a tack-free condition before applying the top coat. A second coat of primer may be required if the substrate is excessively porous.
