Surface Preparation
• The surface be coated should be dry, clean, and free from loose materials, other contaminations as well as free from oils and fats.
• Roughen the surface with a grinder and clean off the dust.
• Ensure substrate moisture content less than 4% part by weight.
• Apply Hyfloor Epoxy Primer at the rate of 0.10 – 0.15 kg/m2 and allow primer to cure.
In case needed, apply Hyfloor EM screed to build up system thickness.
Mixing
• HYFLOOR 172SL is supplied in a set, ready for use on site.
• Pour the entire contents into a container and mix thoroughly using a slow-speed drill until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Application
• Pour the material onto the primed surface and spread to the desired thickness using a steel trowel.
• Immediately after troweling, use a spiked roller on the coated surface to help remove minor trowel marks and release trapped air.
