Surface Preparation
• The surface to be coated must be dry, clean, free from loose materials, contaminants, including oil and grease.
• Roughen the surface with a grinder and clean off the dust.
• Ensure the surface moisture content does not exceed 4% by weight.
• Apply Hyfloor Epoxy Primer at the rate of 0.10 – 0.15 kg/m² and allow the primer to cure.
If necessary, level the surface by applying Hyfloor EM to adjust the system thickness.
Mixing
• HYFLOOR 171C is supplied in a set, ready for use on site.
• Pour the entire contents into a container and mix thoroughly using a slow-speed drill until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Application
• Apply HYFLOOR 171C onto the prepared surface using a spray, brush, or roller.
• Ensure the entire area is properly coated and that no pooling of the material occurs in any spot.
• The coating must be applied in at least 2 layers. The second layer can be applied after the first layer has dried.
• The interval between coats depends on the type of substrate and environmental conditions.
