Surface Preparation
• The surface must be strong, clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, rust, curing agents, paint, or any contaminants. The surface must not be loose or flaking. Cracks should be repaired with suitable materials beforehand, and the surface should be leveled without ponding water.
• For repair work where an old waterproofing system is present, remove the old waterproofing layer first to ensure the best performance of the new system.
• If the surface is excessively dry, lightly dampen with water to cure the concrete before application, but ensure no standing water remains during the work.
Mixing Instructions
• Mix CEMFLEX-HP in the specified ratio for maximum performance. Pour the powder into the liquid and mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer (not exceeding 400 rpm) for 3–4 minutes. Leave the mixture to stand briefly to release air bubbles before use.
• Avoid adding extra water to the mixture. Once mixed, the material should be used within 30 minutes.
Application Instructions
• Apply the mixture with a stiff brush at a rate of 1.0–1.5 kg/m². Each coat should not exceed 1 mm in thickness. Allow to dry for about 2–3 hours.
• Apply the second coat in the same manner as the first, but in a perpendicular direction to the previous coat. A sponge may be used to smooth the surface.
• For spray or trowel applications, adjust the mixing ratio as needed to suit the method.
Curing
• Protect the waterproofing layer from rain until fully set. Cure with moisture for 3–4 days.
• For water tanks, apply on the inside surface. The tank can be filled with water after 5–7 days, but rinse with clean water before use.
• In bathrooms or swimming pools, tiles can be laid over the waterproofed surface after 3–5 days.
